True story of bird falling from the sky and fish dying in masses – Mayan Prophecy??

A mysterious rain of thousands of dead birds darkened New Year's Eve (2011) in Arkansas, and the following similar reports streamed in from Louisiana, Sweden, and elsewhere. It is not just birds that have been affected, with millions of dead fish also washing up on river banks and coastlines.

Beginning at roughly 11:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve Arkansas wildlife officers started hearing reports of birds falling from the sky in a square-mile area of the city of Beebe. Officials estimate that up to 5,000 red-winged blackbirds, European starlings, common grackles, and brown-headed cowbirds fell before midnight.

Results from preliminary testing released by the National Wildlife Health Center in Madison, Wisconsin, show the birds died from blunt-force trauma, supporting preliminary findings released by the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission on Monday. "They collided with cars, trees, buildings, and other stationary objects," said ornithologist Karen Rowe of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. "Right before they began to fall, it appears that really loud booms from professional-grade fireworks—10 to 12 of them, a few seconds apart—were reported in the general vicinity of a roost of the birds, flushing them out," Rowe said.

  • JAN 1, 2011 - 5000 red winged blackbird drop dead from sky in Arkansas
The birds -- most of which were dead -- were red-winged blackbirds and starlings, and they were found within a one-mile area of Beebe, about 40 miles northeast of Little Rock. Between 4,000 and 5,000 birds had been found dead, and no birds were found outside of the initial one-mile area. Initial examinations of a few of the dead birds showed trauma. Whether or not this trauma was from the force of hitting the ground when they fell or from something that contacted them in the air, it is still unknown.
  • JAN 2, 2011 - Massive fish kill blankets Arkansas River
Dead drum fish line the banks of a 20-mile stretch of the Arkansas River near Ozark. Arkansas officials are investigating the death of an estimated 100,000 fish in the state's northwest, but suspect disease was to blame. Fish kills occur every year, but the size of the latest one is unusual, and suggested some sort of disease was to blame {UPDATE: no virulent infections found}. The fish kill only affected one species of fish," he said. "If it was from a pollutant, it would have affected all of the fish, not just drum fish
  • JAN 3, 2011 - More birds, same kind, fall from sky in Louisanna
Some 500 dead and dying birds fell onto a Louisiana highway, just three days after a similar incident in Arkansas. The events have led to speculation running from poisonings to "End of Days" scenarios. Some birds indicated many "exhibited traumatic injuries." The birds might have flown into nearby power lines. Two dozen of them had head, neck, beak or back injuries.
  • JAN 3 - 7, 2011 - Phenomenon is occurring Worldwide

Possible explanations:

  • Lightning, Power Lines or Fireworks
  • Earth Tremors / Earthquakes / Sonic boom
  • Methane Gas Explosion

Or could it be the one of the signs of  Doomsday??

  • Mayan Calendar / Book of Revelation / Hopi Prophecy
In the Mayan Prophecy, it is believed the end of days, the end our world will occur on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2012. The significance the classic Maya gave the December 21, 2012 date remains uncertain along with other enigmatic predictions left behind by prophets through the ages. Most classic Maya inscriptions are strictly historical prophetic declarations based on subjective interpretations. The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of beliefs and proposals positing that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur in the year 2012 culminating on the winter solstice December 21, 2012. This forecast is based primarily on what is said to be the end-date of the Mayan Calendar, which is presented as lasting 5125 years.

In the Book of Revelations, current events sound alot like Chapter 8: the 7 Trumpets. .... 8 - And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
